Coming back to horror

To finally come back to horror after all this time!

One thing I learned over the years is to never force yourself to do a project that you don’t feel is right in your heart. I suppose that is why I never did a horror film since 2010’s ‘The Awakening.’

However this story really spoke to me and I felt it was the right time to do it. It started as just a simple class project where we had to write a script for a short film, something about five pages or so. Well I created an outline and next thing you know I had a finished script that was three times the require length for the class.

Coming back to horror was very refreshing for me as it allowed me to experiment with some creative ways to get shots and set the mood. I almost forgot how in a horror film the camera is a character as well. Its position tells a story as much as the characters do so how you use it is very important. For some shots you may not realize the message, but your brain will.

I look forward to releasing this movie as I know people have been asking me for years to do a horror film and after seeing this film I think they will agree the wait was well worth it!
